Our Leadership
Acuform is managed by the firm’s founders, Aaron Dahl and Shawn Willis. Each brings more than 20 years of industry experience, spanning a wide range of project types and development scenarios. Working together since 2003, Aaron and Shawn saw ways to deliver a better design and build experience to clients. They founded Acuform in 2007.
Aaron Dahl

Expertise
Dahl’s passion for building design and construction led him to pursue the field of architecture from a very young age. His early career experience at firms in Washington DC and San Antonio helped him develop a strong technical savvy, including a keen understanding of construction contracts and building codes.
Today, Dahl specializes in helping clients in the initial stages of each project to define budget, scope and quality. He is Acuform’s lead expert in contract matters, including project feasibility, team assembly, contract preparation, and the execution of contract services. Dahl also reviews all building plans and is heavily involved with zoning and code-related matters.
He serves as the Registered Design Professional in Responsible Charge (RDPiRC) on all Acuform projects.
Shawn Willis

Expertise
Willis’ early career experience with small, lean design firms in Texas gave him hands-on experience in design and construction activities. This depth of experience, unusual for a young architecture professional, helped Willis develop a reputation for creative design solutions, along with a real-world approach to problem solving.
Willis oversees the design process for Acuform clients. His strength in building design is matched by his diligence in the documentation and construction phases of client projects. He ensures that all Acuform documents are clear, coordinated and accessible throughout construction to address client needs and keep projects on track.
He is the principal partner responsible for construction-related quality assessment.
