ARCHITECTURAL INTERN

About the Position

We are seeking talented and motivated individuals to join our team who embody Acuform’s values and commitment to excellence. This position is ideal for someone pursuing professional growth and leadership on the path to becoming a licensed architect.

Self-motivation, organization, and a desire to learn are essential to success in this role. You will gain broad exposure to the architectural process from design through construction and participate in a variety of professional activities to support your AXP (IDP) requirements and career development within the firm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate directly with project leadership teams
  • Generate 3D building models using Autodesk Revit
  • Develop site plans, building plans, sections, elevations, and details
  • Research building materials, systems, components, and construction methods
  • Prepare design documents, finish sample boards, and presentation illustrations
  • Assist with the preparation of forms, documents, and tables for governmental reviews
  • Record and log construction activities; prepare field observation reports
  • Support bidding, procurement, and construction administration tasks

Position Requirements

  • Education: Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch)
  • Experience: 2–4 years of related architectural experience
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit required
  • Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle for use during the workday
  • Ability to climb ladders and safely navigate active construction sites

    ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER

    About the Position

    You should be familiar with the entire design and build process. You must be capable of independently resolving minor design/planning challenges, coordinating multiple design disciplines and reviewing construction documentation to confirm compliance. You will also assist Firm Principals and Project Managers on larger, more complicated projects.

    • Model schematic design alternatives incorporating client program
    • Research materials, systems and components for incorporation into projects
    • Establish and maintain project budget and schedule for small projects
    • Coordinate the services of other design professionals and consultants
    • Resolve constructability conflicts and secure regulatory approvals
    • Communicate with clients, consultants and contractors (written and oral)
    • Assist with project bidding, negotiate and prepare contracts for construction
    • Manage submittals, RFI’s and change orders during construction
    • Assist with project closeout tasks including record documents and warranty services

    Position Requirements

    • Education: Professional degree in architecture
    • Experience: 3-5 years of related work experience
    • Must be proficient in Autodesk Revit
    • Must have personal vehicle for use during the work day
    • Must be capable of climbing ladders and maneuvering construction sites

      PROJECT MANAGER

      About the Position

      We are seeking top industry talent to join our team that will maintain our company’s values and qualities.  Someone that will grow with the firm and be a leader in the firm to realize potential partnership and ownership opportunities.  Being personable, well-organized and possessing strong planning and communication skills are key to the success of this role.

      • Manage project design and delivery from conception to completion
      • Create and maintain schedules and delivery milestones on concurrent projects
      • Lead design team with design development and document preparation
      • Direct and mentor inner-office technical personnel with specific tasks
      • Coordinate the services of other design professionals and consultants
      • Resolve constructability conflicts and secure regulatory approvals
      • Communicate with clients, consultants and contractors (written and oral)
      • Assist with bidding and construction contracts preparations
      • Administer the architectural duties of the construction contract

      Position Requirements

      • Education: Professional degree in architecture
      • Experience: 5-7 years of related work experience
      • Licensure: Preferred but not required
      • Must be proficient in Autodesk Revit
      • Must have personal vehicle for use during the work day
      • Must be capable of climbing ladders and maneuvering construction sites
